HOMELESS REHOUSING
TRM's Rapid Rehousing program works to connect families and individuals experiencing homelessness to permanent housing, providing a personalized package of assistance including supportive services, case management, and financial support.
The Rapid Rehousing program at TRM began in November of 2020 due to a Covid-19 related grant received from the City of Topeka. Helping our guests be successful in maintaining traditional housing is about so much more than just finding those we serve a house or apartment. To help people truly be successful requires walking alongside them when living independently gets difficult. It’s about being the team they can count on to guide and advise when they need us again. It’s about letting them know we care about them and desire for them to avoid becoming homeless again.
To date we have successfully placed over 150 households into safe, affordable housing and currently have many individuals and families in the process of qualifying for and finding appropriate housing.
