2025 TRM Annual Report

We are excited to share the 2025 Annual Report for TRM with our readers. As we reflect on the past year, we keep coming back to a simple truth: God has been answering prayers at TRM and in our community. In some ways, these prayers were answered as we expected or hoped, but for others, they were faithfully and consistently answered in ways that we could not even begin to explain or fathom. In 2025, we saw a year that brought change, stretching, and growth, and as we are on the tail end of the first quarter of 2026, it is clear that God is still at work among our guests, our staff, our volunteers, and our community.
Our focus for 2025 was to bridge the gap between God’s love and those in need, and we lived out the transformative power that rests in Christ alone. We watched guests take real steps toward healing and stability, and for some, it was the first time in their lives. We have seen guests' hearts soften,
their hope rekindled during the wait, and their faith both planted and rediscovered. While many ofthese moments are unspoken, they are sacred, as they remind us that God is still in the business of restoring lives in His own time.
We have also seen growth in our staff in the past year. This year, we are making an intentional effort to pray for each of our staff members because their work is not easy and requires both strength and humility. There has been team growth, not just in skill, but in unity, resilience, and spiritual maturity. Our staff continues to lean into prayer by supporting one another and remaining faithful to their calling, even when the work feels heavy. That kind of perseverance does not happen by accident—it's God’s grace in action.
As for our community, we have prayed for the Lord to provide, by bringing the right people alongside us at the right time. Volunteers, churches, and community partners stepped in from across Topeka and beyond when our needs felt overwhelming. And time and again, God reminded us that we do not do this work alone. Day after day, we can see His hands knitting together a community that cares deeply about the dignity, restoration, and hope for the least of these.
Looking back at what we witnessed in 2025 and even the years prior, TRM CEO
La Manda Cunningham shares, “There are no trends in what God does. His
provision does not follow patterns we can predict or control.”

We want to thank everyone who Loved in the Gap with us and made the work at TRM possible in 2025. From donors, volunteers, and sponsors, to all the prayers, we could not do what we do without you. This year, we know there may be challenges again, with finances, personnel, donations, and more. That’s why in 2026, our theme is the Power of Prayer. Please pray for TRM this year, and prayerfully consider how you could help us in 2026, to make an impact like you will see in this report.
