Children's Palace

The TRM Children’s Palace was operational from July 2017 through November 2019 and provided support to over 100 children and nearly 70 families. Children and families received help and healing as we shared the loved of Jesus and Christ and showed each one that they are royalty in God’s eyes… and ours.

Former operations consisted of a safe, fun and educational atmosphere for children to receive care and love while living in or previously experiencing homelessness, chronic stress or other life trauma. A multifaceted approach,CP Staff which includes a strong emphasis on identity and family-engagement through a Christ-centered trauma lens was incorporated. Children were reminded daily of their value and worth through a message that conveyed their true identity of royalty and greatness. An evidence-based, trauma-response approach called “Trust Based-Relational Intervention” (TBRI®) was also utilized throughout all facets of programming which focuses on empowering, connecting and correcting; proven strategies that bring healing and transformation. Family units were supported through the incentive-based Parenting is a Gift (PiG) Program©, which provides parental education, support and numerous family engagement opportunities. Collaborations with several community providers were also used to maximize effectiveness of care.

Future operations are being considered which will likely employ similar vision and methods while providing an even greater level of support and care to children in need. There is no date currently set for reopening, but we are eager to move forward in continuing to provide care and support to some of our communities most vulnerable children.
