As I reflect on 2017 and look to 2018, several themes keep recurring. First, 2017 was a tough year. I’m grateful for the year and at the same time, ready to put 2017 behind me. Our family has faced several health hurdles along with many other new and challenging situations.
Second, it’s been a year full of opportunity to learn, grow and see God’s regular and daily provision in our lives. I’m privileged to work in a ministry caring for homeless, hungry, and enslaved people and it is incredible to watch how God transforms hearts and lives. Oftentimes, that begins with a hot cup of coffee and a smile. To be successful, it always involves God softening hearts and transforming people.
